See You Next Year

That’s it. Another year over, a new one about to begin.
Have a lovely time and see you next year, I’m off to Iceland! (pic by hkvam)
Adformatie Article
Dutch industry paper Adformatie did a nice article on digital agencies in combination with highlights of 2007. There’s contributions from a few people, including me. If you want you can download the article here.
Top 10 Virals 2007

Here’s a Top 10 Virals of 2007 list by Boreme.com. Quite a good list i think. And as Jonathan blogged: not a brand in sight. K THX BYE.
Don’t Write It. Don’t Forward It.

Found this banner on a gamesite. Want to get your message across? JUST USE CAPS. Wild guess: concept and copy by people from a) boarding school or b) the military.
Serenity Now
This is actually quite a nice idea I think:
Only problem with it is, when sitting down you seem to be facing the door rather then the aquarium?
Goeiemoogle Nederland

If you’re dutch (or in Holland even) its very likely you’ve heard someone say ‘knetterbek’ or ‘goeiemoggel’. Its a bit of a hype at the moment. Here’s the commercial for KPN that started it all, Its basically about a world where everyone is talking in mistyped/misspelled sms-language. Which is very funny:
Its made by Pim Kok and Hakan Coskunsoy from N=5, who asked us at Kong if we could think of doing something wacky with it on the Knetternet. We came up with Goeiemoogle which you can check out here. We’re still feeding it with more translations, so it will grow a bit over time. Coding done by our buddies at Romijo. Loeter!
Update: A few weeks down the line Google asked us kindly to remove the logo from the goeiemoogle sites, which we did.
Santa’s Ghetto

“Every year we assemble a loose collection of the great unwashed to hawk their artistic wares on the high street amongst the mindless sham and drudgery of the christmas season. This year we’ve moved out of Oxford Street into a former chicken shop on Manger Square in Bethlehem opposite the Church of the Nativity (where Santa Claus was actually born)”.
Nice ‘We’ve Moved’ Poster

This was sent round by a UK design agency:
Don’t know which one though? (Thanks TokyoHakan)
The Shredsz64 Project

Toni Westbrook ported a Guitar Hero controller to a Commodore 64:
Nuff respect.
Sixt ASCII GTI
I think this is really really clever. Made me wonder why no one thought of doing this before.
From agency JVM.
