Parrots Repeat, Cars Talk

I’m loving it. I think the Dubai Touristic Board should have sponsored this.

Sensible Soccer HD

screenshot_179615.jpg

Micro$oft is really rocking their XBLA arena at the moment, on december 14th Codemasters will rerelease Sensible World Of Soccer in HD with network play. How very nice! It’s making use of the original code from 1996/1997 too, employed in what’s widely regarded as the best incarnation of SWOS to appear. More details on CVG.

Dawdlr.com Updates

About six months ago Russell thought it was about time for a really slow Twitter:

“I thought it was time we had a really slow twitter. Something less rushed and immediate but still brilliantly rich and daft.”

So Dawdlr was born, and posting a ‘dawdle’ can only be done by snailmail. How cool is that? Today, the first batch has arrived on dawdler.com. My dadwle made it as well, its the orange one.

(Yes, I much enjoyed tagging this post with ‘technology’ ;-)

WoW vs. Mr. T and Mr. Shatner

I wrote about World of Warcraft a few weeks ago, when it was used in a Toyota commercial. This is here is WoW featured in WoW ads that feature… Mr. T and William Shatner?

(Shatner version here).

I have to admit it makes a nice RSS headline, which is all the rage these days, but the actual creative is not really anything special I think..

Pixelsurgeon Bites the Bullit

This came as a bit of a surprise… Webzine Pixelsurgeon decides to stop, after seven years of going strong. That’s a real shame. I am (was) a big fan.

Unfolding Folding Bike Story

Chambers spotted this today:

Its a second-hand (approx. 11 kilo) folding bike - handy to have in the boot of my car. 90 80 euros is probably a good deal for this..

Build Your Own Blu-Ray Lazer Gun

Hack your PS3 and build your own Blu-Ray Lazer Gun. Yo.

Interactive TV - Great Example

This here is done by our friends at Weapon 7 and really shows what can be done with interactive TV:

It also integrates nicely with the online work from our friends at Poke London, check out Good Things Should Never End. Nice!

Ayo Technology Brings Back SID

Timbaland drops some serious C64 SID Chip riffage in this new tune with 50 Cent and Justin Timberlake called ‘Ayo Technology’:

Obviously seriously inspired by SID pioneers like Martin Galway, Rob Hubbard and Jeroen Tel, but nicely done I think.

Update: I wasn’t going to post this because of the Timbaland plagiarism controversy earlier this year, but it seems the riffs in this tune aren’t ripped and its just the SID Station in full swing.
